Suspended professor Dr Neeraj Hatekar is receiving support from all corners. After members from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) lent their support to the professor, now it’s the turn of the Yuva Sena chief Aaditya Thackeray. Thackeray junior visited Dr Hatekar’s resident and extended his support to the professor of econometrics and according to sources, condemned the incident and said that the Yuva Sena would back him.

Confirming the same, Dr Hatekar said, “Yuva Sena president Aaditya Thackeray visited my house and condemned the incident and lamented about my suspension. He said he wished to convey his support to me as well as my students, who have supported me.” Dr Hatekar, who was suspended on January 4 for holding a press conference and criticising the mismanagement of the administration and the vice-chancellor’s appointment, has been holding lectures outside the Kalina campus on the street, so that his students would not suffer.
