The Mumbai cyber crime police have filed an FIR against All India Bakchod (AIB) after a Twitter user sent a complaint tweet to the city police, alleging that the group had tweeted two photos in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi's face had been morphed and Snapchat's dog filter added to one of them with the caption #Wanderlust.
AIB had tweeted the photos taking a dig at Modi yesterday. The post, which has since been taken down by the AIB, did not go down well with a number of Twitter users, one of whom brought it to the Mumbai Police's notice.
According to sources in crime branch's cyber cell, the FIR has been registered against the person who manages the Twitter handle @allindiabackchod. Sources confirmed that crime branch has registered a case under section 500 (defamation) of the Indian Penal Code, read with section 67 (punishment for publishing or transmitting obscene material in electronic form) of the Information Technology Act. People connected with the handle are likely to be called for questioning, an officer said.
