71 Mumbai police personnel test positive for Covid-19 in last 24 hours

Around 71 Mumbai Police personnel tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, taking active cases in the force to 265, said officials.





On Wednesday, the daily Covid-19 cases in the city touched 15,166, up from 8,087 recorded on Monday, after testing 60,014 samples. The test positivity rate (TPR) also jumped to 25 per cent. The city has already surpassed the figure recorded during the peak of the second wave—11,163, on April 4.

India reported 90,928 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, said the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Thursday.

The daily positivity rate stands at 6.43 per cent while the weekly positivity rate stands at 3.47 per cent.
