100% water cut in South Mumbai, Bandra on Thursday

100% water cut in South Mumbai, Bandra on Thursday

There will be 100 per cent water cut and low pressure supply in parts of the city on Thursday. According to civic officials from the water department, the civic body has proposed to carry out repair work on the 1,200mm diameter pipe installed in the 1,200 mm diameter Mahim tunnel shaft connected to the Tansa (west) pipeline. The work will be executed from 8 am to 8 pm tomorrow. During the work, the tunnel running through Marol Maroshi-Vakola-Ruparel-Race Course will be isolated for a 12-hour period.


There will be no water supply or low pressure supply in areas of A ward (Nariman Point, Backbay, Cuffe Parade, Colaba), C ward (N S Road), D (Little Gibbs Road, Ridge Road, Peddar Road, Napean Sea Road), E ward (B Y L Nair and Kasturba Hospital), G/North (L J Road, Ranade Road, Senapati Bapat Marg, Shankar Road), G/South (B D D Chawl at N M Joshi Marg, A B Road, Sakhubhai Mohite Marg) H/West (Bandra Reclamation, Perry Road, Chapel Road, Palimala Road). Water supply will be fully restored by Thursday night or Friday morning.
