“There is a group of people involved in the conspiracy. We will check their style of walking to see if any of them is that person in the PPE. Waze’s walking style will also be examined since he is already in custody,” an NIA officer said.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA), which arrested API Sachin Waze in the explosives-laden Scorpio case late on Saturday, is analysing the gait of a suspect wearing PPE and comparing it with that of Waze. NIA suspects that the unknown person in the PPE, seen outside Antilia sometime after the Scorpio was planted, is Waze.

“There is a group of people involved in the conspiracy. We will check their style of walking to see if any of them is that person in the PPE. Waze’s walking style will also be examined since he is already in custody,” an NIA officer said.

While investigating the case, agencies found CCTV camera footage from Altamount Road in which a man in a PPE suit is seen. The man got out of the Innova, came near the Scorpio to check it. To hide his identity, he wore the PPE suit.

Initially, when the Scorpio was parked near Antilia, the driver of the Innova was not captured in the CCTV camera as he never came out. But when the Innova arrived at the spot again around 5 am, the driver was seen in CCTV camera footage when ge got out to check on the Scorpio.
