Car getting crashed into parked bus at Gorai Road
Two people, including a pedestrian, lost their lives after a speeding car crashed into a parked bus at Gorai Road, Boricha West, on December 22. According to police, the five people in the car were returning from a club after playing pool, and over-speeding led to the accident. A girl seated in the backseat of the car also died in the accident. The Borivli Police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.

The deceased, identified as Prashant Warekar (45), was working as a waiter in a private hotel at Borivali West, and Abhigel Jadhav (21), who was inside the car, died because of head injuries. The three people injured in the accident were admitted to the Shatabdi Hospital for treatment.
The Borivli Police have registered a case and are investigating the matter
Speaking to mid-day, a police official said, "The incident occurred on Wednesday at 11.30 pm at Gorai Road near bus depot. The youths were returning from a Gorai-based club after playing pool and were speeding their vehicle on Gorai Road. Warekar was going home after completing his work at the restaurant. When the car hit Warekar, he flew around 20 feet in the air and fell on a footpath on the other side of the road."
"Later, the car dashed into a parked bus at the corner of the road. The locals immediately rushed them to the Shatabdi Hospital. The car roof crushed completely into the parked bus, which led to Abhigel's head smashing into it," a police officer investigating the case said.
Police have taken the blood sample of the youth to determine whether they were drunk or not and are waiting for the report.
