Manpada police have arrested a man for calling senior officers and abusing them every day for the past one year. The man has confessed and said that he would abuse the officers to release his frustration after fights with his wife. The police managed to trace and arrest him from the Deshlepada area.

A police officer said, “For the past one year, we have been receiving calls and the person would abuse both men and women officers. Initially, the officers did not pay any attention, but on Gudhi Padwa, the call got transferred to the senior inspector. When he inquired, he was told that this was a daily occurrence. The senior inspector immediately asked for the caller to be traced.” The accused Hemant Kasara, 36, is a resident of Deshlepada, Dombivli, and is unemployed.

Police Inspector Sarjerao Patil of Manpada police station said, “Kasara is an alcoholic and would often fight with his wife in an inebriated state. After the first fight, he would search for our police station’s number in the phone book and then call and abuse us.” Senior Inspector Shekhar Bagade of Manpada police station said, “The accused thought he could get away with abusing police personnel. We arrested him for interrupting police work.”
