A 23-year-old woman, allegedly working for an escorting service, was gang-raped by three men in Malad recently.

The victim was hired by an accused for one night for Rs 10,000 but when she went to the house, she found three men there who allegedly raped her.

According to police sources, they received a call on their emergency number by a woman claiming that she has been gang-raped by three persons inside a flat in an area which comes under the jurisdiction of Malad police station.

Officers of Nirbhaya Squad working in Malad Police Station immediately reached the mentioned place for help. The woman was rescued and a person was detained and brought to the police station.

During the investigation, it was found that the complainant was working for an escort service. She stated in her statement that she was hired by the accused for one night for Rs 10,000. She went to the house from Mira Road on Friday night where she was gangraped by three people.

When she asked for money, the accused gave her Rs 10,000. When she demanded more money, they refused, following which she refused to go from the house.

On Saturday, the men forcibly tried to remove her from the house when she called up the police, said a police source.

“We have registered a gang-rape case and arrested one accused identified as Jobraj  Yadav, two others Sunil Giri and Sunil Sahu are absconding. Our officials are searching them,” he added.
