The Dongri police on Sunday seized mephedrone (MD) worth Rs 12. 5 crore from two people who were arrested last Friday.

The arrested accused were identified as Isaq Sayyad and Abdul Azim Sheikh.
Dongri police seized 68 grams of MD from the duo. “After their arrest we got a tip off another person named Deepak Bangera and his residence in Santacruz was raided on Sunday morning with the recovery of 25 kg of mephedrone worth Rs 12.5 crore," said Shabana Sheikh, senior police inspector Dongri
During the raids at Bangera's residence, cops also seized Rs 5 lakh cash and two weighing machines. Police suspect that they are working for some big cartel manufacturing MD and supplying it through drugs peddlers across MMR Region.
