Mumbai crime: A man was reportedly injured after he was shot at in Mazgaon area of central Mumbai. The incident took place in the early hours of Saturday, the police said, reported the PTI.

The incident took place at around 3 am on Saturday at the Chapsi Road in Mazgaon when the victim was chatting with his friends on the road, an official said.
"A two-wheeler carrying two men approached them and one of them fired a round from a pistol before speeding away. The bullet hit one of the feet of the man," a police official said, according to the PTI.
A case has been registered on the charge of attempt to murder under the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act at Byculla police station against two unidentified men and an investigation is underway.
The Mumbai Crime Branch officials has also been conducting a parallel investigation in the matter and were seen collecting evidences from the crime scene on Saturday, sources said.
Meanwhile, in an another incident last week in Navi Mumbai, a 44-year-old architect allegedly fired in air from a revolver in Navi Mumbai's industrial area after being miffed with a contractor for not returning the money lent to him, a PTI had said.
"No one was injured in the incident which took place at around 9.30 pm on Tuesday in Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) area in Turbhe," an official, as per the PTI.
"While firing, the suspect said that he had given a loan of Rs 5 lakh to the contractor of a hotel in Turbhe, but he did not return the money,.
The accused was upset as he did not get the money back and out of frustration fired one round in air near the hotel from his foreign made licensed revolver, the official said quoting the FIR.
"The police seized the revolver and 15 live cartridges from the accused," the police official said, according to the PTI.
"Based on a complaint by an employee of the hotel, the police have registered a case against the accused under Indian Penal Code section 336 (act endangering life or personal safety of others) and provisions of the Arms Act," the police official added.
