A 30-year-old was severely injured after he was hit by a vehicle in Chembur on Thursday, around midnight. The injured Gaurav Narote, resident of Subhash Nagar, Chembur, had gone to meet his friends, when he was knocked down by a speeding SUV. Narote was rushed to the hospital. The Chembur Police have succeeded in tracing the last four digits of the SUV, and are confident of nabbing the driver soon.

On October 26, Narote, a driver by profession, took his sister Nikita’s scooty at around 9.45 pm to meet his friends. Around 1 am, Nikita received a call from an officer from Chembur police station who told her that her brother had met with an accident. “As soon as I received the call, my parents and I rushed to Zen Hospital where we found out that my brother has been knocked down by a speeding SUV and he was brought to hospital by auto drivers. He sustained severe injuries to his head and legs,” said the sister.
