Mumbai: 3 men linked to Bollywood arrested for possession of pistol, live cartridges

The Dindoshi police have arrested three men working for Bollywood companies at Film City in Goregaon for alleged possession of pistol and live cartridges.


The men have been identified as Prakash Satnani (32) working as an event organizer Gurjit Singh (30) and Nirajkumar Patel (26) have working for various production houses in the film city as light man the trio is friends and even stayed together a few months ago until Santani moved out after brining his family from Madhya Pradesh.



Upset with a friend who was refusing to give back money (Rs 6 lakh) he had borrowed, Satnani had bought pistol and four bullets from Madhya Pradesh to threaten him . However, when Santani's family moved to Mumbai, he could not risk keeping the weapon at home so he handed it over to Singh and Patel for safekeeping.


On Monday the Dindoshi police received a call from an informer telling them that Singh and Patel had been showing off the weapon at their resident in Santosh Nagar said an officer.

Based on this information PSI Musa Devershi along with his staff detained Singh and Patel and found out that the pistol belonged to Santani.

“We have arrested the three for possession of illegal weapons,” cops said.
