The accused identified as Jaisingh Rajput claims that he is a fan of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput and was upset over the actor’s demise.
The manner in which Aaditya Thackeray received a threat letter, we suspect if it's connected to the organisations that murdered (Narendra) Dabholkar & (Govind) Pansare. I too have received such threats. We've written for an investigation into it: Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik pic.twitter.com/bPQMclhSvA

He started making calls to Thackeray, when they went unanswered, he started sending abusive and threatening messages for him.
One of the accused’s messages has emerged and it appears that he holds Thackeray responsible for Rajput’s untimely demise.
The text message reads, “Tune Sushant Singh Rajput ko Mara agla number tera hoga.”
“Accused has been arrested with the help of technical support, further investigations are underway.” An officer of cyber cell said requesting anonymity.
