A 24-year-old man, an employee of a popular pizza chain, allegedly died of electrocution at the outlet in Maharashtra's Thane city on Wednesday morning, a civic official said, reported the PTI.

According to the PTI, the man identified as Mahesh Anant Kadam lost his life when he was busy carrying out routine cleaning tasks on the premises of the pizza joint located in the Vartak Nagar area of the city, said Yasin Tadvi, chief of the Disaster Management Cell of the Thane Municipal Corporation.
How he suffered an electric shock is still to be determined, he said, adding that the police are probing the matter.
In an another incident, a construction worker fell to death while placing sheets on top of a shed at a company in Navi Mumbai, police said on Tuesday, as per the PTI.
The police have registered a case against the company owner and subcontractor under section 304 A (causing death by negligence) of the Indian Penal Code for the incident that occurred in the Rabale MIDC area on Monday, an official said, the news agency reported on Tuesday.
The accident occurred around 11.30 am, when the victim Shivaji Nana Lohar (74) was placing sheets on top of a shed in the company's premises, he said.
Lohar died on the spot, he said.
Investigations revealed that the accused had failed to provide the worker with safety equipment such as a helmet, safety shoes, or gloves, violating safety protocols, the official said
Meanwhile, in a tragic incident, a 39-year-old man and his 11-year-old son were killed when a speeding car hit their two-wheeler on a bridge in Lalbaug in central Mumbai, police said on Monday.
The man's wife and their daughter, who were also on the two-wheeler, were injured in the accident which took place on Sunday evening, an official said.
The car driver lost control of the steering wheel, first hit the road divider and then the two-wheeler, on which the couple and their two kids were travelling, on the bridge, he said.
The injured were rushed to a hospital, he said, adding an offence was registered against the car driver at the Kalachowki Police Station.
