The suspects have been identified as Ranjana Dilip Wankhede (40) from Valhekarwadi at Chinchwad, and Bholu Abbas Shaikh (25), of Talegaon Dabhade. The police have recovered items worth Rs 4 lakh, including Rs 60,000 in cash, and gold and silver ornaments. According to the Chinchwad police, the two juveniles used to keep a watch on different houses.

They would enter their chosen homes by cutting the window grille with the help of a hacksaw. While the stolen ornaments and other items were kept at Wankhede’s house, Shaikh used to help sell off the stolen items. PSI Suresh Mane is investigating the case.
