Teen held for raping friend's 3-year-old daughter

A 19-year-old man in Odisha was arrested for allegedly raping his friend's three-year-old daughter.

A 19-year-old man was arrested in Odisha for raping a three-year-old girl, police said Thursday.

The man, who was a friend of the victim's father, allegedly lured the girl to come with him at a secluded place where he raped her Tuesday night, Srimanta Barik, chief of the Bolangir police station, said.

The rapist later left the victim near her house. Family members rushed the toddler to a hospital when they saw blood on her and subsequently informed the police.

The victim's father later lodged a complaint with the Bolangir police station.

Police have arrested the man after the victim disclosed his name, Barik said.

The minor is undergoing treatment and her condition is stable, police said. u00a0
