Two incidences of child sexual abuse have been reported in the city. While in one, a grocery store employee was arrested, in the other, a father was arrested for allegedly sexually abusing his daughter.

On Monday night, Hadapsar police arrested a 34-year-old man for allegedly sexually abusing his two-year-old daughter.

Inspector R N Mohite, in-charge of the Hadapsar police station said, “The incident took place on Sunday evening when the girl’s mother had gone out for purchasing household items. When she returned home she noticed marks on her daughter’s body.

She alleged that her husband sexually abused their daughter. We have registered a complaint and arrested him.”

In the second incident, an eight-year-old girl was sexually abused by the employee of Sangvi-based Ramdev Traders, a grocery store.

The incident took place on October 22, when the girl was asked by her mother to bring milk from the store. The employee was alone at the store, and under the pretext of giving her a sweet he sexually abused her.

A case was registered with Sangvi police by her mother (22) and the police arrested Hansaram Chaudhari (25), a resident of Sangvi.
