In a shocking incident, an auto-rickshaw driver was arrested for the murder of a 13-year-old boy, whose decomposed body was found in Malvani.


According to police, the victim, identified as Vidyanand Yadav, and his mother had a minor tiff with one Karan Bahadur a few days ago. Bahadur had made a small cement boundary to prevent rainwater from entering his house and the minor, a class 9 student, had broken that boundary which led to the argument, according to a report in Times Now.


Bearing a grudge, on Friday, Bahadur allegedly lured the boy on the pretext of giving him a ride in his auto. He took the victim to Malvani, stabbed him, and later decapitated him.


A week after, the police found the decomposed body of the boy lying in the bushes. According to the report, the body was completely decomposed and the severed head was lying at a distance. To ascertain the identity, the police examined the missing person complaints filed across the city police stations.

The victim's parents had lodged a complaint in the Aarey police station. As the details of the complaint matched, the police called the family and they identified the body. They also informed the police about the fight with Bahadur Bahadur was arrested on Saturday and during interrogation, he confessed to committing the murder.
