The Mumbai police have launched a manhunt for a bike rider after Veteran actor and Member of Parliament in Rajya Sabha Jaya Bachchan informed them of noise pollution near the Bachchan family bungalow Jalsa in Juhu. On Thursday night, Jaya Bachchan called the police control room (PCR) to complain about a biker riding his bike without a silencer, thereby causing noise pollution in the vicinity.

According to the Hindustan Times, the Juhu police have launched a lookout for the bike rider for allegedly creating a nuisance in the area. Senior officials said that they have zeroed down on the bike rider after scanning the CCTV footage of the vicinity.

"On Thursday night between 11.30 pm and 12 am, Bachchan contacted the police control room on its helpline 100 and informed about a rider who was flouting noise rules. After this, the control room alerted Juhu police station. However, by the time police reached the spot, the motorcyclist was not to be found," a police officer from Juhu police station said.

The cops have alerted the night police teams and directed them to watch out for such bikers and take necessary action against them. Acting on the complaint, the Juhu police have identified the bike number after scanning the CCTV footage of the nearby areas.
