Conwoman hugs, kisses bizman, makes away with gold chain worth Rs 75K

A cloth merchant was duped by a conwoman, who made away with his expensive gold chain worth Rs 75,000. Incident occurred in Vadodara, at the Karelibaug bus stand, around 10.30 pm on Friday

Vadodara: Cloth merchant Jayesh Damodariya was duped by a conwoman, who made away with his gold chain worth Rs 75,000. The incident occurred at the Karelibaug bus stand around 10.30 pm on Friday, where the victim had alighted from a ST bus. Damodariya was returning from his recent business trip to Ahmedabad.

According to the victim, a young woman, wearing black jeans and white t-shirt, approached him. Suddenly, she put her arms around him and before Damodariya could react, she kissed him and asked him to follow her.

Though stunned, he refused her offer, following which the woman left the spot and headed for the city in an auto. Damodariya realised that his chain weighing 35 grams was missing and that the woman was a con artist. He immediately approached Karelibaug police station and lodged a complaint against the woman.
