Three security policemen were killed and some others were injured in the clashes with the "Deravish" sect in Iranian capital Tehran on Monday.
The incident happened as the "mad bus" belonging to the "Deravish" raided police station in Tehran's Pasdaran street and hit the policemen, Xinhua reported. A group of the Iranian "Deravish Gonabadi" gathered in front of the police station on Monday in a protest to the restrictions posed on their activities.
The police spokesman Saeed Montazer al-Mahdi said that police arrested nine people over the murder of the policemen. Police forces fired air shots and tear gas to disperse the crowd. Montazer al-Mahdi added that "Now, the situation on Pasdaran street is under the control of police."
The Gonabadi Order or "Deravish Gonabadi" is an Iranian Sufi order, whose followers live mainly in the cities such as Tehran and Ishafan.
