The Wadala Government Railway Police (GRP) on Monday arrested a 23-year-old man from Pune for allegedly attacking his girlfriend with a knife after she had stopped talking to him.

The accused, identified as Mohit Agale, was having an affair with a 21-year-old woman in Pune’s Talegaon. After frequent disputes, the woman cut-of all ties with Mohit and moved to her relative’s place in Sewri. She did not respond to his calls or messages. Mohit, who was angry with her behavior, visited his uncle who lives in Govandi a month ago.

On Saturday, Mohit called her at Wadala station and both ended up having an argument at the station. From the station, the two to Dockyard Road. While having a heated argument, enraged Mohit stabbed the woman in the neck with a knife and fled.
