Paper works

Two paper store gems tucked away within the Fort precinct are Veerat Paper Bazar and Chimanlals. We’re talking colour, texture, size and cut — of paper not diamonds, but is there a difference for art aficionados? If you find origami therapeutic, these stores might just be heaven. Also, stop at Janata Stationery and Art, a part of Veerat Paper Bazaar, which prides itself on being one of the oldest arts and crafts stores in the city with a range of art supplies to back their legacy.

These two art stores are great for kids to explore their creativity without restricting them to poster colours or pencil and sketching paper. Apart from higher-priced options like Winsor and Newton, Pebeo and Arches which youngsters can gradually move to, kids can begin with the arts and crafts sections at these stores that include doodle pens, card making kits, wooden box painting and stamps. Mango Stationery is currently conducting Art Fest, April 15 to 17 to celebrate World Art Day. Art Fest will witness a host of workshops on sculpture frame making, resin work, gold leafing, palette knife painting and more. Don’t miss Flame, an international graffiti spray paint brand, also stocked at Art Station.
