At a two-day wellness gathering, experts will guide you towards a state of calm and balance

Summer well-being

Shraddha Vora will conduct early morning yoga sessions

Ever since we’ve been stuck indoors, most of us have craved for a sense of calm, a place to retreat from the chaos and uncertainty of the pandemic. While a cathartic trip to the hills or a seaside retreat might not be on the cards anytime soon, here’s a gathering to look forward to from the comfort of your home.

Kyo Spaces, a company that organises wellness and learning experiences, have curated a two-day virtual wellness gathering called Eat Pray Move this weekend, that includes workshops and sessions themed on cooking, yoga and meditation, among other things. The sessions will also dive into topics such as cooking for immunity and mindful eating. “I organised this last year when the pandemic first hit, and we received a great response. Now that we’ve been living in this reality for over a year, it can be an opportunity for people who are interested in wellness, to take the time to eat, pray and move once again,” says Meghna Kapoor, its founder. chef-consultant Moina Oberoi who helms this year’s Cooking For Immunity session at the gathering says, “Immunity is clearly an issue right now; when you understand your system and what’s keeping your immunity strong, it’s simple to have a kitchen conducive to that. I’ll be doing more of a demo-based workshop with items that many might already have in their pantry.”

The e-festival will also have early morning yoga sessions by teacher and founder of Yog Ved Shala, Shraddha Vora. “According to ayurveda, we should work out at half our capacity in the summer and monsoon months. Everyone right now is feeling mentally burdened, so I’m trying to focus on a practice that will help people cool down and withdraw from their senses; it’s not a workout as such, more of a way to ground oneself,” Vora reveals.
