The podcast offers helpful insights into the art of meditation

All of us have sat ourselves down, closed our eyes, and tried really hard to meditate, haven’t we? Yet most of us give up within a few minutes or fall asleep. Meditation is a healthy practice but most of us are unable to enjoy its benefits. And maybe that is why we are not consistent. Ten Percent Happier with Dan Harris is a podcast that highlights every positive aspect of meditation for its listeners so that they can realise the importance of its practice.

Back in 2004, Harris, a broadcast journalist, suffered a panic attack on national television and was unable to finish his segment. It was a wake-up call that pushed him towards the healthy practice of meditation. The journey inspired him to release Ten Percent Happier, a podcast that has since helped millions. The most recent episode with Ali Smith, Atman Smith, and Andres Gonzalez,  founders of Holistic Life Foundation and co-authors of Let Your Light Shine, became one of the most streamed  podcasts in India. The trio made headlines by replacing detention with meditation for school kids in Baltimore resulting in better behaviour and improved focus.

The podcast is informative, and is bound to help you with multiple useful lessons. If you are looking to get into self-examination, tune in with a notepad to take down the many reasons you need to start meditating.
