The city gets a new luxury pop-up called The Backyard Edit at Chez Nous in Chembur curated by Priyanshi Saksena (below), founder of The Traveling Atelier and a freelance marketing consultant. What sets this shopping experience apart is the aim to platform women-run ventures and brands launched by mom-entrepreneurs. Re-entering into the corporate workforce post maternity leave, and with more than a decade of experience in advertising and marketing, Saksena faced hesitation cast on her commitment to work while being a mother.

“This pushed me to finally launch The Backyard Edit, and also ensured my decision to work with as many women and moms. My personal mission statement is to create a space for women to build their businesses with the [pop-up] as well as helping them with various marketing touchpoints as a consultant,” she shares.
Chez Nous Bungalow will be the venue for the event
With art, fashion, home decor, food and lifestyle products for women, kids and men, Saksena’s curation iterates her goal of championing women-run businesses. She explains, “One of the stalls [Galiyara Art] is by an architect-artist whose art I love, and whom I managed to convince to showcase her work at the edit. This is her first exhibition.”
