An architect by training, Pereira founded Ink Trails Illustrations, a platform showcasing her hand-drawn artworks with pen and ink that in addition to prints, feature on products like puzzles, coasters, lamps, badges, and more. If you prefer a tactile experience of these pieces, some of them can be spotted at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya’s (CSMVS) Museum Shop.

Pereira came down to Mumbai for the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival (KGAF) in 2017 and 2018, where her Mumbai-based work emerged. “The city inspired me to do a series of artworks — one was on the heritage buildings and another was to do with the Irani cafés there,” she says, adding, “There’s nostalgia attached to many spots here, especially Rhythm House. At that time, the building was unoccupied but closed, and many were emotional about it,” Pereira shares.
