Oddball: Inspired by his time in New York, where he would indulge in local pizzerias, chef Rehan Mehta (ex-Ellipsis, Qualia and Masque) is baking interesting pizzas at the newly-opened delivery and takeaway stop, East 7th Pizza & Deli. On the menu are New York-meets-Neapolitan-style pizzas. As a hat-tip to pizza masterchef Chris Bianco, who features on Chef’s Table: Pizza, they are offering his signature sonny boy pizza with black truffle Italian salami and black olives.

Classic: NESTLED in the bylanes of Kala Ghoda, Americano by chef Chef Alex Sanchez found a spot on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants (51-100) 2022 list. From margherita to ‘nduja and smoky bacon-infused slices, it serves up a balance of classic and quirky pizzas.

Oddball: Zorawar Kalra’s Slyce created a ripple within months of its launch with a variety of offerings to boot. The secret, we think, lies in the assortment of fun condiments. The orders are delivered across Andheri, Bandra, BKC, Lower Parel and Powai.
Our pick: Gold-leafed lobster white top pizza, black garlic avocado green out with black garlic sauce, and truffle and gold

Pork belly pizza by Rocket Man
Oddball: Laced with a whole cheese crust from the Detroit school of pizza, and an intriguing square shape, Rocket Man has caught the attention of pizza-lovers in the suburbs. Brownie points to founders chef and chief pizzaiolo Anand Morwani and restaurateur Rohan Mangalorkar for the space-inspired names of the quirky square slices.
