When you walk into Primetime Sports Bar, located on the third floor of Ghatkopar’s popular R City mall, chances are, you will find it packed. As you move past animated people playing various games like pool, beer pong, carrom, table tennis, video games and bowling among others, you spot the food arena called Wembley Bar at the end of the space.

The bar is a small, secluded area that is a respite in this otherwise, high-energy space. We noticed the happy hour offers on beer and other selected Indian liquor. However, we chose to sample their cocktails. The Long Island Ice Tea (Rs 375) was stiff, and how. One sip and we had to request the bar to tone down the version, which they did, apologising for their glitch. The replacement was refreshing. The Tom Collins (Rs 375) — a mix of gin, lemon juice, sugar syrup and soda, was potent too, but this was just perfect.

We mainly ordered finger food, though one can choose from a variety of mini meals, main courses, pastas and sandwiches. We tried the Baby Corn Mushroom (Rs 265) that was cooked in an Asian style chili-based sauce that had the aroma of star anise. The dish was flavourful and appetising.
The delicious Cheese Sticks melted in the mouth
The Cheese Sticks (Rs 245), which were batter fried melted in the mouth and complimented our cocktails. For a desi touch, we tried the Tandoori Chicken Tikka Pizza (Rs 310).
The Bowling value pack is Rs 900 for five people, Rs 1,700 for 10 people
The chunks of spicy chicken were tasty but we would have preferred if the base was thinner and crisper. On the staff’s recommendation, we ordered the Chicken Angarey (Rs 299) that wowed us. Served as a flambé, the tender portions were smoked well, with a mild spicing.
