Holi is around the corner and for diet conscious people with a sweet tooth, you can also indulge in healthy dishes or sweets. Here's one such recipe.
Oats Malpue
Serving - 5
Ingredients
½ cup oats atta and ½ cup wheat flour
1 cup Khoya (Grated)
1 and 1/2 cup water, warm (60-70 degrees)
10 Pistachio, blanched and chopped into thin pieces
8 Almonds, blanched and chopped into thin pieces
Few Saffron strands
6 Tbsp ghee
4 cups sugar syrup
Method
- Start with mixing the water, Oats Atta and wheat flour to form a smooth lump-less batter in a bowl.
- Take another bowl and mix the khoya with water together to form a thick batter.
- Mix both the batters together to form a lump-less smooth batter of thick consistency.
- Now, heat a pan on low flame and melt ghee in it
- Add 1 tbsp of the mixed batter in circular motion in the center of the pan of ghee.
- Fry the malpua on low heat from both the sides till they turn golden
- Drain them from the ghee and then dip in sugar syrup.
- After some time take out the malpue from the sugar syrup and layer them in a plate.
- Garnish with almonds, pistachio and saffron.
