Music artistes pick tracks that rocked 2015 for them
Nanok, Nikhil Chinapa amd Shalmali Kholgade
Nanok DJ: For me the song of the year is Can’t Feel My Face by The Weeknd. Because he sets himself on fire! (The video has a very energetic dance performance with Abel Makkonen Tesfaye aka The Weeknd on fire).

Nikhil Chinapa DJ:Joris Voorn and Joran Van Pol’s Sonic Highway. It’s an incredible Tech-House tune. I’ve been hearing DJs play it all year at different parties. It has an unmistakable synth riff that always puts a smile on my face.
DJ Khushi DJ: In terms of composition and creativity, Gulaabo from Shaandaar is the song of the year. The sound is new; quite different from what you hear in Bollywood on a daily basis, the concept of the song is great. Amit Trivedi is a genius.
Shalmali Kholgade singer: Agar Tum Saath Ho from Tamasha. This is by far one of the most emotionally moving songs I’ve heard. It’s got soul, not only in the melody but also the lyrical message it delivers. AR Rahman does it again with this heart wrenching composition that just makes time stop around you. It has beautifully assimilated the essence of the mindset of both characters pictured in the film. It is an unusual subject for a song but you can relate to it.
Anusha Mani singer: It is a tie between Sooraj Dooba Hai from Roy composed by Amaal Mallik and Sun Saathiya from ABCD 2 by Sachin Jigar. I love performing Sooraj Dooba Hai at my live gigs and this song never disappoints the crowd. The energy is infectious. Sun Saathiya is a song that’s perfect for a long drive or when you want to relax and listen to something beautiful.
