Last week, Eggs Kejriwal made it to the New York Times’ top 10 New York dishes of 2016. We invite Mumbai chefs, restaurateurs and foodies to dedicate lipsmacking fare that would do justice to our netas

Dum Laloo and Pawar Puff Girls
Dum Laloo, named after Lalu Prasad Yadav will be inspired from Bihar. This burger would be a crossover of Indian and American cuisines as we mix a Boti Bihari Chicken Masala in the patty that is made of Laloo Aloos in a bread made of sattu (toasted gramflour, common in Bihar) batter.
There’s also the Pawar Puff Girls for Sharad Pawar, a troika of shots — teekha, meetha and khatta. These colourful shots will include flavours that women tend to love, like Caiprioska, Mojito and a Tequila Sunrise.

Raga Muffins and Farooq Shakes
I will dedicate a Raga Muffin to Rahul Gandhi. It would be a mix of sweet, salty and spicy. It’s a muffin that surprises you, like RaGa surprises each time he speaks. I would add little sea salt on top, and finely chopped bird’s eye chilli in the batter or mix in Gochujang for an Asian hit. There’s also Farooq Shake, my take on freak shakes named after Farooq Abdullah, made with vanilla ice cream, a Kahwa tea base and saffron.

Demonetised beetroot cutlets
Pink is the ‘in’ colour, thanks to Modi ji’s new currency note. Where there is Modi ji, there’s got to be Amit Shah. Demonetised beetroot cutlets with saffron chutney on the side, as we can’t do without a side from Mr Shah. GST (Gathia Sev Tomato): This dish is an ode to Arun Jaitley, as we’ve been hearing many statements from him.
Yadav Ghotala: This spin on the classic keema ghotala has to go to the sparring father-son duo from Uttar Pradesh.

Shashi Kalakand
Kalakand, which is an Indian dessert made out of paneer, is always eaten fresh. And since Sasikala has just made her debut in Tamil Nadu politics, I believe it’s a fitting name.

Pappudelle alla Baloney
Pappu being Rahul Gandhi’s nickname, I would name this dish modelled on the pappardelle alla bolognese. It is a comforting Italian preparation, but ultimately comes with a whole lot of baloney.

Patriotic Paan
This is a brew that we’re introducing as Republic Day special. It’s a German Pale Ale with great golden colour, crisp paan aroma and balanced bitterness of hops. I believe the drink represents Lalu Prasad Yadav the best since he’s always seen chewing a paan.

Mayawati Caesar Salad
I would create a Caesar salad named after Mayawati, because like Julius Caesar, she too likes building statues and is vain.
