A smart idea by Mumbai-based nature club, Heart & Soil enables you to accompany your little one for a visit to an organic farm at Bhalivali (near Vasai) this Saturday.

“The idea is to nurture bonds through nature. Through this visit, kids will enjoy simple joys of life and parents will also be a part of this adventure,” shares Nehal Shah, founder of this three-month old club.

Owned by Vivek Agro Tourism, a branch of the NGO Rashtra Seva Samiti, the lush green 12-acre farm is also home to emu, turkey, hens, rabbits and guinea pigs. It also includes a cowshed, a biogas plant and a bamboo handicraft workshop.

“It is clean and hygienic. The itinerary includes a tractor ride, feeding farm animals, potting plants and an expert tour around the farm. Guests will have meals cooked from vegetables grown on the farm,” informs Shah. Parents with children above 2.5 years of age can sign up for this visit. While the club has arranged a bus, you can also drive down to the farm in your vehicle.
