If I tell her I love her, I risk losing her friendship!

Dear Diana,
I'm a 27-year-old shy guy. We've been working in the same office in different departments. I ignore her work-related and personal calls. This, of course, has given her the impression that I don't want to talk to her. Needless to say, when we're face to face, I'm tongue-tied. I invite her to chat online but she rarely responds. I love her and know that she knows this but I can't get myself to propose to her. We've been friends three years and I don't think I can lose that.

Prakash

Dear Prakash,
A friendship where the two cannot be open about their feelings is no friendship at all. Conversations drive fantastic friendships. You should be able to talk to this friend about almost anything. I don't know why people feel this pressure of risk. Just because it didn't work out the way you planned doesn't mean you stop being friends with the person. Sure, it might be awkward afterwards, but at least, there's one less weight off your chest, that you can stop dragging around.

Wanna fake being a virgin...

Dear Diana,

How can I fake being a virgin? I'm getting married soon and it's sort of a crime in my community to have sex before marriage.

Name withheld

Dear Friend,
What community deems this a crime? There's no foolproof way of him finding out unless you've been promiscuous. My advice would be: tell him the truth. If he still wants to marry you, nobody else has to know; just you and him.If he does not, then at least he will have been given his rightful chance to make his own decision about his own life.

Don't know who the father is...

Dear Diana,
Should I go through with an abortion? My partner and I have been together for a year and recently have been arguing non-stop about our financial situation, it resulted in me having a one-night stand with another guy and I have just found out that I am pregnant. I don't know who is the father or what to do... Please help!

Name withheld

Dear Friend,

Why do you feel you need an abortion? Because you had a one-night stand and didn't use protection? Because you're scared of what your boyfriend will think? Or some other reason? The first step for you is to identify why you feel an abortion is necessary. If it's because you realised you made a mistake, I'm not sure that that reason is quite good enough. If you don't want to keep the baby or take care of it, you can always give it up for adoption. You run the risk of angering your boyfriend if the baby isn't his, but it already sounds like your relationship isn't going very well. So, I'd say take that chance
