Having affair with son-in-law. Now his dad wants in!

Dear Diana,
I am a 45-year-old woman. My eldest daughter got married nine months ago. Though conservative, I shared and developed a close bond with my son-in-law which led to us getting physical a few months back. We decided to continue with our relationship. My husband has stopped caring for my sexual needs for some time now, which led me to this situation. My daughter is aware of our relationship. The trouble began when my son-in-law's father caught us in the act and took our photographs. He now insists on having physical relations with me and my daughter. If we don't agree, he says he will send the pics to my family and to outsiders. We can't afford a scandal. My reputation and social standing will be ruined. What do I do? Approaching the police won't help!

RF

Dear Friend,

Getting it on with your son-in-law is just so wrong on so many levels. What's even more disturbing is that your daughter is willing to share her spouse with you. If sex was all you needed, couldn't you just as easily tried to get the attention of any available guy? Now that you are in this mess, it's best you deal with it. Don't succumb to his father's blackmail. Call his bluff and tell him to go public with the pictures. He won't risk tarnishing his own son's reputation as well just to get some. No-one's an innocent in this. You were all aware of what you were doing and the trouble you'd get into.

People say I'm skinny...

Dear Diana,
I'm 14 years old and weigh 39 kgs. I don't know what to do. People at school make fun of me and tell me I'm skinny. It really bugs me because I eat well but to no avail. How do I deal with this problem?

Name withheld

Dear Friend,
As long as you don't feel sick, I really don't think you should worry about what others say. Some people are naturally thin and stay that way despite eating a lot. Just ignore these people if you're eating healthy and exercising regularly.

Our relationship is a strained one...

Dear Diana,

My boyfriend and I are 19. We've been together two years. For five weeks now, however, our relations have been strained due to some misunderstanding. We do love each other, though. How do I convince him to change his ways?

Niki

Dear Niki,
There's very little information to go by here. The bareboned facts don't tell me what caused the misunderstanding, who caused it and do forth. Getting him to "change his ways" is out of the question as there's nothing here telling me that he's at fault at all. In any case, strained relationships usually demand time apart to heal.
