Travelling is a passion for many youngsters while their travel journeys start at a young age and they hold this very close to their hearts. They mostly inherit this trait of travelling or are themselves highly drawn towards it from the inception of their childhood travel stories. However, with Radhika, neither was the zest to travel inherited nor, did she start traveling at a very tender age.

Opposed to most cases, Radhika barely travelled alone or with her family during her academic years in Delhi. For a family that hailed from Amritsar and spent most of their lives in Delhi, travelling alone was always an issue of concern.
Radhika Sharma was always fascinated by travelling but was never enticed towards it until her first trip after entering the corporate world. Highly active in extra-curricular activities in school, Radhika leaned more and more towards the educational side and the virtue of grading as she went into college for a more stable corporate job. 2016 however, turned the tables around for her as she visited the Jim Corbett National Park, Nainital at New Year with some of her work colleagues. She had to put in immense efforts to convince her father to permit her for the trip. When in Jim Corbett National Park, Radhika witnessed the presence of 4 tigers. Where people fail to see even one, Radhika was spellbound by the appearance of four tigers while the feelings and adrenaline that rushed through her made her believe that this was what she wanted to do. She no more wanted to sit for a stable job rather she wanted to travel across different places and see the beauty those places offered and experience the life they held there.
Initially, the trips Radhika took were on monthly basis, followed by weekly getaways. Soon she realized that what she wanted was more than just a few trips though she was also concerned about her work. Therefore, maintaining the balance, she started traveling full-time for a few months while practicing freelancing. During this time, she aimed to figure out how to travel full time and work along with it. But as we know that hard work pays off, the YouTube videos and Instagram posts by Radhika began to gain popularity amongst the younger generations, and this was the 180-degree turn for her life. From being a girl who barely traveled and had to seek permission for traveling alone, she is now a girl who inspires innumerable girls to take up what they like and travel if they wish without being hesitant about it
Talking about hardships, Radhika said that we learn as we travel. Moreover, certain things only come with that experience that we have after being on our own. However, it sometimes gets strenuous for women because it is not just the basic travel mishaps they have to face. There are also the daunting looks of people and their intimidating questions about why a girl is traveling alone, or at night, or is she married or why isn't her father, brother, husband, or maybe even boyfriend accompanying her. Still, Radhika believes that it is our will and our choice to travel alone. We will learn from every experience, and some experiences might be a little hard for us nevertheless, they make our next journey a lot more fun and easy.
