To protect trees Utthan celebrates Rakshabandhan as “Vraksh Raksha Pran Diwas” in which people tie rakhies on trees and take pledge to protect them. Utthan also organises Tree Plantation drives from time to time.

He quotes,"Children are the future of our country and by making them aware of the challenges faced by our society and inviting them to become part of the solution, we pledge to make this a successful campaign. To achieve this, Utthan proposes to make four groups- Clean, Green,Healthy and Educated. Each child will be part of a group and various competitions will be organised and winners honoured to encourage participation".

A leader who is active socially, Mr Singh also lays stress on the corruption happening in the garb of tree plantation, he says," In the name of planting trees, crores of rupees have been rigged and revenue has been damaged. That is why the trees do not appear today, but the houses of those environmentalists and administrative officials are definitely filled, which are throwing open dust in the eyes of the public".

"We have to develop such patches / pockets every 10 – 15 km. If we want to protect the future of our children then we have to pay attention to this", adds the environment safeguarding enthusiast.

He also adds that the planted trees must be taken care of like our sons till the plants grow, only then the campaign can be successful.

It is essential to plant these trees, which are oxygen factories so that we can breathe clean air and the future of our children will be safe and golden".
