He is the son of Mrs. Kanchan Adhikari and Mr. Markand Adhikari, an Indian media veteran, media pioneer, and patriarch of Media & Entertainment behemoth SAB GROUP. It is under Mr. Markand’s supervision that SAB Group became the first publicly-listed television production company in India.
In just a span of a few years,Kailashnath has achieved various milestones in his professional life and has had a successful corporate and entrepreneurial journey so far. A renowned name in the Indian industry, he however attributes his success to his family-his parents and his wife, Mrs.Pavitra Adhikari. He believes that their constant support and guidance have played a pivotal role in shaping him up as a person and as a professional and have helped him in reaching zenith levels.
An alumnus of Jamnabai Narsee School and Narsee Monjee College, Kailashnath, lateron, pursued a double Post-Graduate in Accounting from the London School of Economics(LSE). Apart from gathering knowledge and learning, he was keen to explore the co-curricular activities as well and hence won several accolades during his school and college years while participating in debates, elocution along with other literary art-based competitions. During that time,he also immersed himself in weaving artsy pieces of literature with the power of his creative imagination and words. That is when Kailashnath, a phenomenal poet and versatile writer was born! Besides, he was an ardent debater, exceptional speaker, and emcee at various key events and even earned various awards for his extraordinary oratory, communication, and writing skills.
Apart from working day and night,he even goes for vacations to disconnect and detox from the fast- paced life. He is a hodophile and loves exploring new places, be it mountains or beaches. Listening to music, swimming, and indulging in sports primarily playing cricket and table tennis tops his list of hobbies. During his leisure time, he prefers spending quality time with his family and friends along with watching Bollywood movies and new-age web series. Being a creative soul that he is, he even invests time in penning down his thoughts and coming up with magnificent literary masterpieces.
Kailashnath also spearheads Happii Digital and Broadcasting Network Pvt. Ltd., the content production and digital initiative of SAB group which wa s launched almost four years ago in collaboration with Mr. Ravi Adhikari.
