A fitness influencer and an entrepreneur, Parul Kakad has faced almost all the situations in life. Born and raised in Zambia, she picked up the best parts of living in a third-world country. She found many ways and means to survive in any part of the world. She traveled and lived in different cities across the globe, allowing her to explore and adapt to different situations at different places. Parul did her early schooling at New Era High School, Panchgani. She went on to pursue science at Nowrosjee Wadia College, Pune, trying to take up the family legacy.


Her father is one of the biggest pharmaceutical distributors in Zambia. She was also supposed to take on Pharmacy. But, life had other plans for her. Parul Kakad met with an accident and moved to Bombay and studied designing; she has a great passion for the arts. She joined Wigan and Leigh College and completed her Masters in Design and Art from Huddersfield University. She finished her “Master’s” and opened an advertising firm and worked with some big industrialists in 2003. She not only managed an advertising firm, but organized events and also started modeling frequently. Parul Kakad has walked at Lakme Fashion Week and Bridal Asia for Manish Malhotra, JJ Vallaya, and many more.



She simultaneously started running special nights at nightclubs like Fire and Ice and Velocity and organized musical shows in South Africa. Parul Kakad started her live shows with artists like Adnan Sami and Sonu Nigam. After this, she opened another business and got into the trading of diamonds. She pursued a GIA course studying and grading diamonds. She worked with South Africa’s diamond mines. Keeping her businesses aside, she also did something for which she had the passion and intent. In 2006, she participated in Gladrags Mrs. India and was amongst the finalists. She was awarded “Miss Congeniality” for the heart she holds and the deeds she does. After a few years, she moved to Australia with her brother to open up some Indian restaurants there. Parul Kakad opened five restaurants within few years and now her brother Badri Gosavi looks after them.


Parul Kakad is now a social media icon, an entrepreneur, a fitness influencer and runs a community called ‘Mumbai Mummy’ celebrating mothers across the globe. Apart from this, she has also started her clothing line named ‘Punk House of Couture’, which has been worn by various Bollywood celebrities. Parul has been featured on the cover of several magazines about motherhood and women’s fitness.  She has had 9 pregnancies and 5 miscarriages and this journey has made her realize the importance of celebrating a mother’s sacrifices and love.

That is why, she has founded this platform called ‘Mumbai Mummy’ where women can share their stories, their ups, and downs, situations, problems, and the good things they have experienced in their journey as mothers. Fitness influencer and Entrepreneur Parul Kakad also does a lot of social work that most people do not know and encourages other individuals to do the same and serve the nation in any which way possible.
