Dhadak Hospital Kamgar union has more than 15000 member workmen in about 35 hospitals in Mumbai whose standard of living has improved phenomenally after joining the union and the credit goes to Prominent Labour Leader Abhijeet Rane, the Founder & General Secretary of the union. For Mr. Rane, running a union is another name for social service. He is a leader, crusader, editor as well as a committed philanthropist. He says that the members of our union have served humanity day and night during the Corona Pandemic period. All these are Corona Warriors for us. That's why we always work for their betterment.

Did you know that a hospital is one of the most hazardous places to work? In 2019, U.S. hospitals recorded 221,400 work-related injuries and illnesses, a rate of 5.5 work-related injuries and illnesses for every 100 full-time employees. This is almost twice the rate for private industry as a whole and it’s the same position in india.
But Union Leader like Abhijeet Rane continue to work for betterment of hospital workers.

Prominent Labour Leader Abhijeet Rane says, Preventing worker injuries not only helps workers—it also helps patients and will save resources for hospitals

For all hospital workers minimum wages shall be paid as per the scheduled employment and the employee shall be given basic wages, DA, HRA and Tea allowance.

Reduced working hours, free medical care for all Hospital Kamgars dependent family members, adequate holidays and increase in retirement age, PF benefits, ESIC benefits.
Eligible employee shall be paid bonus and gratuity as per Act, Hospital management should provide place for breakfast, Lunch and dinner in cafeteria or any other place in premises. Our demand is experience allowance, interest free short term loan facility, two pair of uniform and one pair of shoes per year, locker room and changing room for male and female employee separately said Prominent Labour Leader Abhijeet Rane, the Founder General Secretary, Dhadak Hospital Kamgar Union.
Although the Health Care Workers or hospital workers is at the forefront in the battle of COVID-19 pandemic, they are facing several challenges in delivering their duties.
Abhijeet Rane said, Long working hours is becoming apparent from the reports  across the world that the long duty hours of the all Hospital Kamgar is a major risk factor for them to acquire infection and hence it is mandatory they work in shorter shifts, based on a strict rotation.
It is highly disturbing and demoralizing to see the  Hospital Kamgar on duty are facing violence against them from some irresponsible public, within the hospitals and in the community surveillance work. It damages and dampen the work of hospital kamgar and may ultimately affect the health care of the public.

Indeed Medicine is a humanitarian profession, and the hospital workers have a duty to care for the sick. By willingly entering into this profession, they have implicitly agreed to accept the risks involved in it. However, they need to balance their obligations as professionals with their duties to their family members too.
