Wings of fire

The best attribute of leaders is that they convince you to believe in their ideologies. Even when it comes to food, the frontrunners or long-established kitchens are the ones that are considered safest bets. In Delhi, Moti Mahal falls in the same category. We recently tried their outlet in Malviya Nagar. Read on to know how they excelled.

Get refreshed
Change is the only constant thing and any venture that doesn't believe in this is bound to sink sooner or later. Perhaps that's the reason why the promoters of Moti Mahal have taken into consideration the idea of modern and plush interiors while keeping intact the traditional warm hospitality. Set up in 1920, its founder Kundan Lal Gujral is often referred to as the founder of two staples of Indian cuisine- tandoori chicken and butter chicken. The restaurant that once served freedom fighters and refugees is now enticing the hearts ofu00a0 the urban crowd. The hookah lounge will vouch for its new look.

Won't run out of options
One look at the menu and you'll be convinced that there's something for everyone. Indian and Chinese are the two primary cuisines that they deal in. From daals, paneer, kormas, breads and tikkas to soups, noodles, rice and rolls; they have everything that you might want to eat. However, sticking to desi khana would be advisable.u00a0 We recommend Dahi ke kebab, Tandoori mushroom, Achaari chicken and Burra kebab for starters; Roghan josh, Chicken lababdar and Paneer makhni for main course and Kesari rasmalai for desserts. They don't serve liquor here so you'll have to manage with aerated drinks and sodas. All in all, a good option for people with taste.
