Sahachari Foundation's shopping extravaganza, Design One will enable buyers to purchase a wide range of festive collection under one roof
This festive season, pledge your money to charity by shopping at Sahachari foundation’s shopping extravaganza, Design One. Well-known designers, including Surily Goel, Masaba Gupta, Myoho and Laila Motwane, will be part of the exhibition.

As a special add-on this year, the exhibition will have high–design merchandise for kids as well,” says Gauri Pohoomul, founder member, Sahachari Foundation.
The event will support charity by forwarding a bulk of its proceedings to NGOs working in the field of education and upliftment of women, the visually impaired students and animal care.
“Through this initiative, we aim to raise funds for deserving NGOs. The Design One model combines entrepreneurship with philanthropy and fashion and lifestyle with creative passion,” says Pohoomul.
The foundation has slated the shopping exhibition on September 26 and 27, just prior to the commencement of the festive season to enable shoppers to stock up for the season.
“Clothes, jewellery, bags and shoes will be available under one roof. People don’t need to wander about to 10 different places,” smiles Pohoomul.
With Diwali and Navratri round the corner, designer Surily Goel’s collection is in shades of red, pink, yellow and gold.
“The emphasis will be more on Indian wear like sarees, lehengas and the like. The outfits will also have a lot of embellishments keeping in tandem with the festive season,” says designer Surily Goel.
Echoing similar views, designer Masaba Gupta, says, “My collection at the exhibition will have lots of festive colours like red and baby pink and traditional outfits like sarees, dhotis and lehengas. My emphasis will be more on affordable festive wear. A lehenga in my collection starts at Rs 12,000 and the maximum price for an outfit is Rs 30,000.”
The foundation will also give complimentary space to NGOs such as OM Creations, Shraddha Charitable Trust, Victoria Memorial School, Rm Rm, Shine, Bombay Paperie and Smile to showcase their products at the exhibition.
“The NGOs get an opportunity to showcase products made by their instructors such as garlands and tablemats. At the same time, they get a good platform to spread awareness for the causes they are working for. Through this exhibition, the foundation wants to give back to society in a meaningful manner,” concludes Pohoomul.
