The video reveals only the rear end of the bike, which bears striking resemblance to the test mule spied in Europe

Royal Enfield developing a 750cc parallel-twin motor is not a news anymore as we got our hands on few of its spy shots when the alleged bike was caught testing in Europe. However, the bike has now been caught testing on Indian roads. A video from an unknown source*, which is said to be circulating on WhatsApp (attached at the bottom of this article) shows the under-development bike riding down an Indian highway.
It seems that the person recording the footage was not able to overtake the bike and so only the rear end of the bike can be seen clearly. Hence, we can’t actually see the double-pot motor. Observing the dual exhaust mufflers on either side along with an apparent black paint on the bike and comparing these to the images of the test mule from European testing sessions, we can discern that both the bikes share a handsome similarity; particularly, in the design and the spacing of the exhaust units. Moreover, the riding gear – an official RE Safari Touring Jacket – worn by the rider reaffirms that person riding/testing could be an RE official and the bike is not a mod-job Continental with twin mufflers. But then again, the possibilities are infinite.
Speaking of the bike in question, through previous reports, its fuel-injected air-cooled 750cc motor is expected to produce close to 50PS of power. Thanks to the significant bump in power, the chassis will also be strengthened over the GT535’s, along with bigger brakes. Since the motor is a parallel-twin unit, one can expect a significant drop in the vibration levels, something that Royal Enfield bikes struggle at. Result? A smoother and faster machine, which shouldn’t require you to take a massage after every long ride. You can also expect ABS as a standard feature when the bike makes it to the showrooms a year down the line.
The company hasn’t given us much on the bike, but at times have given indications of a new and more powerful bike. We can expect an official showcase at the 2017 EICMA and a launch around the Indian Auto Expo 2018.
