Our garden city has got a total makeover in the past few decades. New dessert parlours have mushroomed in various locations. However, certain places remain evergreen classics.
One such place is Bowring Kulfi stall, a tiny hole-in-the wall establishment near the petrol pump adjacent to the Bowring Institute on St Mark's Road.
From childhood to courtship days, this stall has served Bangaloreans creamy kulfi in various flavours like elaichi, pista, pista badam, kesar badam, kesar and khajoor.
Almost, 30 years-old, this shop does not have a seating arrangement yet every day people crowd the stall and enjoy the kulfi standing or sitting in their cars.
However, in case you want to enjoy the kulfi at home, they will also pack it in a box with crushed ice and salt.
