New Delhi: Lava on Wednesday added a new entrant to it's budget smartphone range by launching Lava Iris 414, a new addition to its flagship Iris series. The smartphone comes at an affordable price of Rs 4049.

Lava Iris 414 is a dual sim smartphone that features a 4-inch TFT screen display with 480x854 pixels resolution. The phone gets new K-Class Amplifier complimented by speakers with enhanced quality.
The device is clocked at 1GHz processor clubbed with 512MB worth of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. Along with all this, the handset gets a microSD card slot and the memory can be expanded up to 32 GB. The phone runs on Android KitKat 4.4.2 Operating System.
It sports a 3.2-megapixel camera with LED flash on the rear surface and VGA front-facing camera for selfie enthusiasts. Th drawback is that the handset doesn't support HD recording, options of H.264, H.263 and MPEG4 video shooting are available.
The new Lava device is packed with 1400mAh battery, the company claims phone has a standby time of 126 hours and 2G talk time of 12 hours. The new smartphone is 0.4mm thick and weighs 110 grams.
In terms of connectivity, the smartphone offers support for 3G, Bluetooth 2.1, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi, GPRS and A-GPS. Along with all this is the option of FM radio for music lovers.
Lava's new smartphone will compete with other budget smartphones such as Karbonn A6 Turbo and Intex Aqua N7.
