Honda introduces two new variants of the Navi

Following the good customer response to the Navi, Honda has now introduced the Adventure and Chrome editions of the scooter. Making the Navi more adventure-friendly, the Adventure edition gets a big windscreen, hand guards, a headlamp protector, new side protectors, under-tank storage compartment, extended luggage tray which could also be used to mount an external storage compartment, dual-tone seat and a funky new camouflage type colour option.

The Chrome edition is a simpler update over the base Navi; As the name suggests, it gets a chrome headlamp surround, chrome headlamp protector, chrome leg-guards and chrome grabrails. It is also fitted with a under-tank storage compartment as standard. Both the editions will be offered with a black colour option.

Honda had launched the Navi at the 2016 Auto Expo, it was the first product to be completely designed and developed by Honda’s R&D facility in India. An attractive price, distinctive styling, loads of colour options and the numerous customization options that it is offered with made the Navi the talk of the town. The Navi offers a motorcycle-like stance and the practicality of a scooter in a single package. Its styling attracted a lot of young customers while the practicality makes it more appealing to people of all age groups.

The Navi is fitted with a telescopic suspension at the front, tubeless tyres, under bone type chassis and has a storage space under the fuel tank. The 110cc engine powering the scooter is picked straight from the Activa which develops 8PS of maximum power at 7000 rpm and 8.96Nm of peak torque at 5500 rpm.

The Adventure and the Chrome kits cost an additional Rs 8525 and Rs 5065, respectively over the standard model and are available at all Honda dealers across the nation. Existing Navi owners can also get the kits fitted at the additional cost. Chrome kit will be available by the end of January, 2017 while the Adventure kit is likely to come a little later. To keep costs in check, the Adventure version will not be getting the knobby tyres shown in Auto Expo and will be sold with the stock tyres.
