Considering it was a Sunday and I did not have much to do, when suggested we try Aqua Zorbing, we were very excited. We had watched the sport only on reality shows and had not quite thought that we would be able to try it out in Pune. We headed to Ishanya Mall, where they had just started the sport for kids, and were soon going to start it for adults too.

The moment we reached the mall, we were thrilled to see a pool of 16/23 sq ft tank kept at one side and another one 15/15 sq ft tank on the other. Unfortunately the bigger pool was yet to be opened to the public, but the smaller pool had many kids smiling and trying out tricks to roll. Initially, we were a bit embarrassed to try the kids' section but were assured that that ball could fit adults as well. So leaving behind all inhibitions, we stepped inside the zorbing ball.

Following the instructions from the attendant I soon found myself inside the inflated ball. The ball continued to be inflated for half a minute after which I was pushed into water. My immediate reaction was to panic but a look at the happy faces of the kids around had the desired calming effect on me. The attendant asked us to roll the ball, but every time we tried standing up to roll, we fell. Looking at the kids rolling their balls like experts, we felt inspired and tried over and over again. But every time we tried rolling the ball, we fell.
After twenty minutes of rolling and falling, we were a tad exhausted but it was the most fun thing we had done in months. We also realized that Aqua Zorbing was a great source of exercise. Tired and unable to accomplish the task of rolling the ball, we asked the attendant to pull us out. Suprisingly, after seeing us laughing and having fun in the water, many adults followed suit and gave company to their kids in the water.
