Blackheads give you a dull look and leave you distressed. But, vanishing them is not a difficult task and you can do it at home with natural ingredients.
Lemon juice serves as an effective agent to treat blackheads. Since shrinking down the clogged pores is the first step to treat acne, using lemon juice as a natural astringent makes the task easier. Lemon juice contains alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) citric acid that helps remove dead skin. In addition, its vitamin C content stimulates collagen production, helps boost skin health, and lowers acne marks.
Here’s how lemon juice can be used to treat blackheads
• Wash your face with a natural cleanser
• Take one teaspoon of lemon juice in a glass
• Dip a cotton ball in the lemon juice and dab the wet ball on the blackheads
• Let it stay for 10 minutes and wash off with cold water
You can also apply lemon juice on the blackheads and let it stay overnight. Rinse off your face with lukewarm water and apply moisturiser.
