New Delhi: With an eye on India's budget smartphone segment, both Xiaomi and Motorola launched their Redmi 2 and Moto E (Second generation) respectively at Rs 6,999.

Now that the price of both devices stands same, lets compare them on the technical front.
Redmi 2 sports a 4.7-inch IPS HD display meanwhile the Moto E (second generation) has a 4.5 inches display.
Redmi 2 is clocked at 64-bit 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor whereas Moto E has a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with a 1.2 GHz quadcore CPU and advanced graphics.
Xiaomi Redmi 2 will run on Android 4.4-based MIUI 6.0 software while the Moto E runs on the Android Lollipop, the latest version of the operating system.
On the memory front, both Redmi 2 and Moto E sport an 8GB internal storage which is expandable through microSD card up to 32GB.
Redmi 2 features a 8MP rear camera but the Moto E sports a 5MP shooter. The Redmi 2 gets its power from a 2,200mAh battery while the Moto E is fueled by a 2390 mAh battery.
