Blackberry Classic

So, you thought that the Blackberry Classic was the best Qwerty phone around, you may want to hold that thought. The Canadian smart phone maker recently unveiled the P'9983 Graphite, its latest QWERTY smart phone designed in association with Porsche Design, a design house owned by German automaker, Porsche.

The smart phone features graphite stainless steel colour frame with blackened glass at the front and hand-wrapped leather as the back cover. The QWERTY keypad features uniquely designed glass-like keys, which Blackberry claims adds to the durability of the keys. It will be available in two colours — Black and grey.

The device runs on Blackberry 10 OS, and offers the same compatibility to Android apps as found in the other Blackberry devices. It gets a 3.1-inch square IPS display (similar to what we saw first in the Blackberry Passport, but smaller) with 720x720 resolution and pixel density of 331ppi. The device runs on a 1.5GHz dual core Qualcomm MSM8960 processor with 2GB RAM and 64GB internal storage with support for MicroSD card up to 128GB. The P'9983 Graphite features an 8MP rear camera with Sapphire lens and flash, which it says is capable of recording videos in 1080p resolution. It also has a 2MP fixed-focus camera at the front.

The device weighs around 140g, is 4.7-inch tall and 2.65-inch wide, and features a 2,100 mAh battery to power, which according to Blackberry should give up to 14 hours of talk time. As for connectivity, it supports both 3G as well as 4G cellular networks, comes with a micro HDMI port, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 LE (low energy), FM Radio, GPS and Wi-Fi 80.2.11 a/b/g/n. Each of the Porsche P'99883 devices will come with a unique pin ID group, 2AAXXXXX, to help identify other Blackberry Porsche Design smart phones. The built-in sensors include an accelerometer, a magnetometer, a proximity sensor, a gyroscope and an ambient light sensor.

Price: Rs 99,990
